Feature What it does

Auto Hangup Make those annoying phone calls go away. If you get harrassing phone calls, bill collectors, etc., this feature will come in handy. When a call arrives, if the caller's name or number appears in the Auto Hangup Profile, SnakeID will automatically hang up on them (after the first ring).

Limit Caller You can limit the number of times a person calls within a given time period. The Limit Caller feature automatically resets itself at a time you specify.

LOGIC SnakeID Pro uses logic to assist you with the settings.

Real time display All settings are updated immediately and the entire system re-initializes without having to restart.

TEST feature A phone call can be simulated so you can test your settings without actually calling from a different phone.

Voice announce speed adjustment The speed at which the phone number is announced can be adjusted.

Male/Female voice The voice announcement can be a male or female voice. You can even record your own using the Windows Sound Recorder.

Highly efficient operating structure The structure of SnakeID is extremely efficient. It is also part of the LOGIC feature (above). It allows for this software to consume a very small amount of memory.

Date and Time in title bar The date and time (or either) can be displayed in the title bar.

Wake Up Call/alarm clock with snooze Call someone's phone, call your own phone, or play a audio/video clip. This feature comes with a Snooze feature which can be set to any number of minutes you specify.

Audible RING When a call arrives, SnakeID plays a "ring" through the sound card and speakers.

Dialer You can make outgoing phone calls even if you do not have a 12 key dialer (speakerphones for example).

Pulse/Tone dial out When you dial out through the dialer, you specify weather to dial with pulse or touch tone.

Telephone Lockout w/ password The telephone can be locked so that neither incoming nor outgoing calls can be made. There is also a trip time so that the lockout will be turned off automatically (in case you forget about it)(Does not work with all modems)

MS Access integration Recent Call logging, History Call logging, and the Integrated Phonebook are based on MS Access. Now you can use the information in MS Word, Excel, or any software that can open an access-type database.

One click internet access To get online, just click on the internet menu item. It will connect you to the internet using the Dial-Up specified in the Setup window. You can also specify an application so that when you conect, that program will run automatically (for example, Netscape or Microsoft Internet Explorer). It toggles the port for you and waits until you are offline again - then waits for phone calls. (requires that you use Windows Dial-Up Networking)

Integrated PhoneBook Keep track of names, phone numbers, addresses, etc.

Instant Call-Back When a phone number is selected from the History Call log, Recent Call log, or from the Integrated Phonebook, you can instantly "Callback" that phone number.

Network Messenger When a call arrives, SnakeID can automatically get online for you, send the Caller ID information to the SnakeID Network Client, get offline again and wait for the next call. If you are at work, for example, and need to know who called you at home, the Caller ID information will be displayed on your computer at your office. Within 3 minutes you'll know who called your house! You can specify which days of the week the network messenger should attempt to send the data, as well as which hours of the day (ie, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm).

E-Mail Notification When a call arrives, SnakeID can automatically get online for you, send the Caller ID information to an e-mail address, get offline again and wait for the next call. You can check your E-mail from anywhere in the world and know who called and when they called. The e-mail message which is actually sent is configurable (display the caller id data in any format you want). You can specify which days of the week the E-Mail Notifier should attempt to send the data, as well as which hours of the day (ie, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm).

Pager Call When a call arrives, SnakeID can call your pager and leave the number of the person that was logged in the Recent Call log. You have the option to send the altered number (if it is altered with Auto Correct) or you can send the original number (as it came in). Lets you dial a "9" and/or a "1" first and can send 510 (numeric for SID) so that you'll know weather it is SnakeID paging you or an actual person paging you. A really nice feature!

Full Screen option When a call arrives, it can be displayed on the entire screen for a specified number of seconds. You can also specify weather or not to clear that screen when the call is logged.

Support for the hearing impaired If you have a hearing impediment, you can have SnakeID flash the entire desktop in vivid colors (to visually attract attention). It will flash until you acknowledge the phone call by clicking on the flashing Desktop

Support for the visually impaired If you have a visual impediment, or if you are not in the room where the computer is, you can use the voice announcement to hear the phone number of the caller.

Custom Audio You can play a custom audio file instead of using the phone number announcement. The audio file you specify only pertains to that caller (based on either the name OR the phone number of the caller). They can be WAV, MDI, or RMI files.

System Tray support SnakeID Pro includes support for the system tray - when minimized, an icon appears next to the clock on the task bar.

Auto Correct (Name/Number alteration) This feature can change the name and/or number of the person that calls you (limit of 50 phone numbers to correct). For example, instead of displaying "JOHN DOE" you can force SnakeID to display "UNCLE DOE" or "JOHN AT WORK". This feature is based on the name and number of each caller.

Support for Caller ID basic service If you have Caller ID Basic Service (without the option to display the NAME of the caller) you can display whatever name you want. Past versions of SnakeID did not function unless you had NAME service. By default, if a NAME is not available, SnakeID will display "NO DATA" or you can use Auto Correct to display whatever name you want (based on the phone number of each caller)

Toggle Port feature Releases/Captures the port so that your modem can be used by other applications. It starts a one minute countdown then automatically waits until the port is free. If it is, it will begin waiting for calls again.

User defined colors Change the Font, Foreground colors, and Background colors of the Display, Recent Call log and History Call log.
